Red, White, and Blue Parfaits

Start the holiday on a
red, white, and blue note
with these quick, easy, and tasty parfaits.

Red White Blue Parfait

  • 1½ cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1½ cups blueberries
  • 2 cups vanilla yogurt (I used Stonyfield Farm Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt)
  • 1 cup low-fat granola cereal (I used Sunbelt Bakery Low Fat Granola, Whole Wheat, with Cinnamon, Raisinis and Almonds)


Set aside about 1/4 cup of strawberries.  Divide the remainder evenly between four glasses.

Spoon about 1/4 cup yogurt over the strawberries in each glass. 

Cover the yogurt with about 2 tablespoons (1/8 cup) of granola.

Set aside about a quarter cup of blueberries.  Divide remainder evenly between the glasses, layering them over the granola.

Divide the remaining yogurt evenly between the four glasses.

Spoon about 2 tablespoons (1/8 cup) of granola into each glass, over the yogurt.

Finally, decorate the top of each partfait with the saved blueberries and strawberries.

Serve chilled for breakfast or as a tasty afternoon snack.  The parfaits can be made the night before and refrigerated overnight.  Although they granola may lose some of its crunch, it will still be delicious!
